A culinary and lifestyle boutique featuring handpicked favorites that push the boundaries of ordinary.

Sam Shaw’s Treatery is owned and operated by Philly native Samantha Shaw. Born and raised in Society Hill, Sam enjoyed more than two decades as an executive in the world of professional tennis. After years on the road, time at home during the pandemic made Sam nostalgic for childhood comforts and inspired a business concept.  This evolved into other ideas of feel-good items from around the U.S. and even international markets.

The concept of opening a boutique in her old neighborhood, along with an array of her handpicked favorites never before available in the area was the perfect solution to a post-pandemic career.  Her vision is now a reality at 306 South Street in Philadelphia, helping to revitalize the small business community. Along with a variety of Sam Shaw’s fresh baked cookies (baked daily) the shop features artisan olive oils and balsamic vinegars from Phat Olive (Katonah, N.Y.), decorative placemats, trivets and coasters from France, unique bamboo salad bowls from Vietnam, handcrafted pottery and lifestyle merchandise from South Africa

The shop’s inventory, gathered from her years of travel, is a combination of sustainable and fair trade goods plus other unique finds.  This retail experience provides a space to treat yourself and others.

Sam, a former collegiate tennis player and avid skier, was a lifer at St. Peter’s School (nursery-eighth grade) in Society Hill, Springside School (now SCH Academy) and Lafayette College. She currently resides in Center City, Philadelphia.
